At the beauty contest Miss Teen America this year in Dickson, Tennessee, the 17-year old Eleana Frangedis of Greek origin, won the title!Elena is living in Clearwater, Florida, where she also grew up.
Young Miss Frangedis will travel around the States helping teens cope with peer pressure and bullying.
She will also be working with Soles4Souls "and many other outstanding organizations that will have a positive impact on America!", Eleana writes on her new Miss Teen America facebook page.
A few days ago Miss Teen was invited to the annual gala awards given to Greek-American students and there she said how proud she is of her origin and she expressed optimism for Greece's exit from the crisis. Let's hope she is right!
